For High School Senior Pictures

With Alyssa

Alyssa’s family contacted me back in September 2021 for her senior session to take place in April 2022. They decided to go with the Ultimate Experience Package, my premium offer. 

A couple weeks before the session, Alyssa and I had a call where I offered her multiple locations that I thought she might enjoy. With the Ultimate Experience, she got to pick 3 locations. She wanted a mural, a colorful place in the city, and a lush outdoor area to have sunset photos. 

For the first location, we went to a dining restaurant that is very popular for its mural in Dallas called XOXO cafe. Alyssa’s favorite color is pink, and the whole mural of this cafe is pink, which matched perfectly with what she wanted. We spent about 30 minutes on-site to get awesome poses and different angles. Then, because I wanted to have some nice contrast and make the light very beautiful on Alyssa, I decided to shoot with my strobe (lighting kit). 

We then went to Highland Park Village, a luxurious shopping mall that offers a variety of backgrounds: Flowers, colorful stairs, a vintage movie theater with light bulbs in the ceiling, etc. This place was very much a “live a colorful life,” representing Alyssa’s personality! 

We then went to the last location, Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, a city North of Dallas. It was a great time to go there given the season, with the wildflowers and the golden sunset! 

We started at 3PM and finished the session at 8:30PM due to our driving time between locations! We had a blast photographing her senior session, and Alyssa is a super happy client! 

Location scouting is something that takes me time, but I love it! And since I moved to Western Colorado, I have already found a few that I am dying to shoot at and offer excellent options to my future seniors! Telluride, Ouray, Grand Junction, Moab, Crested Butte, etc. I feel the possibilities are limitless here!
